Afghanistan

So even though I said I would no longer write anything, I am bored at the moment so I've decided to write anyways. Well lets see it's been over a week since I've last written anything. Things are quite interesting here. It has not been too hot yet, so I am very thankful. I am also thankful that I am finally not sick. I was pretty much sick for almost the 1st 2 weeks, thank God I'm no longer! The coffee shop that I was helping get ready has finally opened. I hope it's going to be a success. It's a real nice place. I went to the grand opening yesterday and it was hopping! ANyways now that the coffee place is opened I have begun looking for an actual office to work at. I searched today and it looks like I have found one. I don't know all the details yet but I am sure I'll post again sometime (if I'm ever bored). I've still got a little less than 4 weeks left. Honestly I knew a 6 week trip was going to be too long, but my dad did not listen. It hasn't been quite the experience I was wanting it to be but still I  guess it's alright. ANyways we had a little excitement this past week as well. There was a suicide bomber. So alot of Afghanistan is still in bad shape, Kabul isn't in bad shape but this is just a reminder that it still isn't totally safe..... Anyways thanks for the prayers and yeah I'm just curious if anyone reads this, so if you do leave a comment. I really do want to know if I'm just writing for my pleasure or if there are actually people who read this........

Summer 2006

So it's been a few weeks since I've posted so I guess I'll write a little bit about my trip. I left school May 4 straight for Turkey. There I did alot of stuff. Turkey was the vacation part of my trip so I needed it! In Revelation it talk about the 7 churches. All 7 of those churches are in Turkey. We were only able to make it to 4 but it was still pretty cool. My favorite was Ephesus. Ephesus was also the biggest. If you want to see any pictures of my trip to Turkey check out facebook, I put alot on there. Anyways we also stayed at 2 resorts, they were very nice and right along the Aegean Sea. We were in Turkey for about 10 days I guess. Then my mom and the others left, while me and my dad went on to Afghanistan. Today is now friday so I've been here for about a week. In ways it seems like it goes by slow but it also seems like it goes by fast. Anyways I've been helping out this dude fix up his place. It's actually been a pretty good experience. He's from Cincinatti, Ohio and he is opening this place where Afghans and internationals can meet, hang out, and talk about Jesus. So it's exciting! He's also opening a computer lab for students to use and he said I could work in there whenever I want so it's a good chance to minister! I also attended a meeting with this guy named Tayo. We went to the Department of Public Health Services and the meeting was about how to deal with the HIV/AIDS and TB problems here. I didn't think there would be that kind of problem here but appartently there is. I'm currently still waiting to find a job for the next 5 weeks. I have alot of options, unfortunately the presidents intership isnt going to make it because im not here long enough and he seems to be out of the country as well. But things are going well here in Kabul. Just to the south and west though there have been alot of violence and suicide bombers, so I just ask you all to pray for me while Im out here that no evil so come near me! OK well thats it for now. Everyone hope you are all having a great summer!

ive began to realize noone reads these goofy things anymore so this quite possibly is the last entry...... :(
